Care Guide
Care Guide for Calla Lily
1. Lighting
Place your Calla Lily in a spot that receives bright, indirect sunlight. While it can tolerate some direct morning sun, harsh afternoon rays may scorch the foliage.
2. Watering
Maintain consistently moist soil during the growing season. Never allow the soil to dry out completely, but ensure the pot has excellent drainage to prevent bulb rot.
3. Temperature and Humidity
Keep the plant in temperatures between 60°F and 75°F (15°C - 24°C). It appreciates moderate humidity; use a pebble tray or occasional misting if your home is very dry.
4. Seasonal Dormancy
After flowering finishes, the leaves will yellow. This is normal. Reduce watering and allow the plant to enter a dormant phase for 2-3 months in a cool, dark place before restarting the growth cycle.
5. Common Issues
Watch for aphids and spider mites. If the leaves turn yellow without flowering, it may be receiving too much direct sun or too little water.
