Care Notes
Light
Bright, indirect light suits it best. A south window with a sheer curtain works well. Long stretches of afternoon sun can turn leaves red or brown.
Water
Use soak-and-dry. Water until it drains, then wait until the mix is fully dry. In winter, water about once a month or two. Avoid pooling water in the rosette center. Use a pot with drainage holes.
Soil
A fast-draining cactus mix with extra perlite or pumice prevents root rot.
Humidity & Temperature
Low humidity is fine. Keep temperatures around 60-80°F and away from drafts and temps below 50°F.
Common Issues
Remove old withered leaves at the base. Dust with a soft dry or slightly damp brush. Soft mushy leaves usually mean overwatering.
