Care Notes
Light
Provide bright, indirect light so the spots stay bold. Too much direct sun can bleach or scorch leaves. Too little light fades the color and stretches the stems.
Water
Keep the soil evenly moist, never waterlogged. This plant wilts when dry, then usually recovers after watering. Use a pot with drainage holes so excess water can escape.
Soil
A peat-based potting mix that drains well is enough. Repot when roots fill the container, and avoid oversized planters that stay wet too long.
Humidity & Temperature
High humidity prevents brown, crispy edges. Use a pebble tray, humidifier, or a naturally humid room. Keep temperatures around 65–80°F and away from cold drafts.
Common Issues
Leggy growth means more light or more pinching. Pinch stem tips regularly for a fuller plant. Small lavender flowers often signal a foliage slowdown; many growers pinch them off to keep energy in the leaves. In winter, water a bit less as growth slows.
