Prefer bright, filtered light. Some shade is fine, but long spells of direct afternoon sun will scorch fronds. A north or east window often works well.
Water
Keep the soil consistently moist. If it dries out, the plant sheds leaflets. Water when the surface just starts to feel slightly dry, and use a pot with drainage holes.
Soil
Choose a rich peat- or coco-coir-based mix that holds moisture while still draining. Repot every 1 to 2 years when the plant becomes root-bound.
Humidity and Temperature
Humidity above 50% to 60% is important. Use a humidifier, mist often, or try a bright bathroom. In winter, growth slows; water a little less and stop fertilizing, but keep humidity high because indoor heat dries the air.
Common Issues
Yellowing fronds usually mean overwatering or poor drainage. Brown tips typically come from low humidity or hard water minerals.
