Golden Pothos
Epipremnum aureum
Golden Pothos is a tough trailing vine with waxy heart-shaped leaves marbled in yellow and green. Often called Devil's Ivy for how well it survives, it adapts to many indoor light levels. Hang it, shelf it, or train it up a support for longer vines.

Golden Pothos Care
Grow Epipremnum aureum (Golden Pothos) with bright indirect light, a dry-down between soaks, and a slightly snug pot so yellow-green marbling stays strong.

Full guide →Light
Bright indirect light keeps variegation strongest. The plant tolerates lower light, but color may fade. Avoid direct sun that browns the leaves.
Water
Let the top two inches of soil dry between waterings. Drooping usually means thirst; yellow leaves often mean overwatering or poor drainage. Use a planter with drainage holes.
Soil
A standard well-draining peat-based mix is enough. Pothos likes being slightly root-bound, so repot only every 1-2 years when roots circle the pot.
Humidity & Temperature
Moderate humidity suits most homes. Water less in winter. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust.
Common Issues
Watch for mealybugs and fungus gnats. Prune leggy stems back to a node for a fuller plant, and root the cuttings in water or soil.

Common Varieties
Marble Queen
Heart-shaped leaves densely marbled in creamy white and deep green.
Neon
Solid chartreuse heart-shaped leaves without the usual yellow-green variegation.
Jade
Uniform deep emerald heart-shaped leaves with no variegation.
Manjula
Wide heart-shaped leaves with ruffled edges and cream, white, and green marbling.
N'Joy
Compact, with crisp creamy-white patches against vivid green on heart-shaped leaves.
Baltic Blue Pothos
Deep blue-green foliage that can look nearly navy in lower light. It often forms narrow fenestrations earlier than many related vines and climbs well when given support.
Cebu Blue Pothos
Metallic silvery-blue lance-shaped juvenile leaves. On a moss pole or other climb, leaves enlarge and may develop splits. It is a fast, resilient trailing or climbing vine.
